Frequently asked questions

How the downloader works, what it cannot do, and the copyright rules that apply.

Everything people ask about the downloader — how it works, what it will not do, and where the copyright line sits.

How do I download all images from a Shopify product page?

Copy the product URL from the store — it contains /products/ — paste it into the box on the tool page and press Fetch images. Every product image is listed as a thumbnail. Download them one at a time, or select the ones you want and download a single ZIP.

Are images downloaded at full original resolution?

Yes. Product CDNs serve resized copies using size suffixes such as _600x, _grande and _large. The tool strips those suffixes so you get the original file the merchant uploaded, not a thumbnail.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free, with no signup, no limit on how many products you run, and no watermark. There is nothing to buy — see the Refund Policy.

Are my images uploaded to your server?

No. Images are fetched straight to your browser and all resizing, compression and format conversion happens locally on your device. We keep no copies. The Privacy Policy explains the one thing that does leave your browser — the URL you paste, which may pass through a request proxy so the page can be read.

Can I resize or convert the images before downloading?

Yes. Set a maximum width (2048, 1600, 1200 or 800 px) and a quality level, and pick JPG, PNG or WebP. Everything runs in one pass in your browser. Leaving the defaults downloads untouched originals.

Why should I convert product images to WebP?

Oversized product photos are one of the most common causes of a slow store. Resizing and converting to WebP typically cuts 70–90% off the file size with no visible difference on a product page, which helps page speed and Core Web Vitals.

Does it work with any Shopify store?

Any Shopify storefront works, including stores on custom domains and international subdomains, as long as the URL contains /products/. Collection pages and homepages have no single product gallery to extract.

Does it work on non-Shopify sites?

Often, yes — the tool falls back to reading structured product data, social preview images and gallery image tags from the page HTML. Results vary by site, so treat it as best-effort outside Shopify.

The fetch failed or returned nothing. What now?

Usually a temporary rate limit on a public request proxy — wait a moment and press Fetch again. Also check that the URL is a product page rather than a collection, and that the page is publicly viewable without a login.

Can I stop a download that is already running?

Yes. A Stop button appears while a URL is being fetched and again while images are downloading. If you stop mid-way, whatever has already been retrieved is still saved.

Can it get images from a private or password-protected store?

No. The tool only reads what a page already serves publicly to any visitor. It does not bypass logins, paywalls or any technical protection measure.

Am I allowed to use the images I download?

Only if you own them or have permission. Product photography is normally owned by the brand, merchant or photographer who produced it, and republishing a competitor's photos is copyright infringement in most countries. See the Disclaimer and DMCA policy.
